About Janet Mackay

NOTE she is referred to as being "relict of an earlier Dunbar" if a connection to the Dunbar line existed on GENI it has been recently lost due to a bad merge; the clue lies within the last statement BUT chasing up both sets of parents for Janet Mackay (born 1769 and died 15.3.1857)] does not produce a "Dunbar connection" at the moment. and also in mentioning her the Mackay Book DOES NOT mention any Dunbar connection concerning her - the statement made is "His second wife was Janet, daughter of John Sinclair of Ulbster, Caithness, who bore him a son and a daughter :—"

This [the] Janet Mackay (born 1769 and died 15.3.1857) was the eldest daughter of Lt. Col. George Mackay and Louisa Campbell Mackay of Bighouse. She was married to Sir Benjamen Duff Dunbar of Ackergill and Hempbrigs.

The second wife of George, 3rd Lord Reay was Janet Sinclair*(relict of an earlier Dunbar) daughter of Sinclair of Brims/Ulbster. (* these two being great-great-grandparents of the Janet Mackay above)

Sincerely, Primrose Richards

leaving this so called paper-trail attached with the note - that further research can be done and reconnected if need be & also likewise have left information of her profile under his about me with a link back to her.
