About Jehoram, 5th King of Judah

Wikipedia: Jehoram of Judah & יורם, מלך יהודה

King Jehoram, firstborn of seven sons, assumed the throne at the age of 32, from 849-842. Married Athalia (daughter of King Ahab) while his father was still King. Jehoshaphat showered his other sons with silver, gold, and property in an attempt to keep peace. However when Jehoram took power “he slew all his brothers with the sword, and also some of the princes of Israel”. He led the inhabitants of Jerusalem into unfaithfulness”, he was not looked upon in favor by G-d.
