Jeremiah (October 26, 1730 O.S. [November 6, 1730 N.S.]-November 3, 1778) married Rachel Mayner (d. November 19, 1775) on May 22, 1765 at Cane Creek Meeting.

He relocated to Cane Creek Meeting, Camp Spring, Orange County, North Carolina[9] from East Nottingham Monthly Meeting on February 3, 1753. The certificate was dated October 21, 1752.

Rachel was the daughter of Henry and Susanna Mayner.

They are buried at Rocky River in Chatham County, North Carolina.

Children are:

1. Mary (b. January 9, 1766 Orange County, North Carolina) married Daniel Vestal (b. October 25, 1761 Orange County, North Carolina) on May 15, 1782 at Cane Creek Monthly Meeting.

2. William (b. July 7, 1767 Orange County, North Carolina-September 1842 Highpoint, North Carolina) married Elizabeth Welborn (February 1, 1769 Rowan County, North Carolina-1843 Davidson County, North Carolina) on April 5, 1790. He was a blacksmith. His father left land to him in Chatham County in which he sold. (One child)

3. Margery (b. December 28, 1768 Orange County, North Carolina)

4. Susanna (August 21, 1770 Orange County, North Carolina-April 12, 1782 North Carolina)

5. Abigail (b. February 9, 1772 Orange County, North Carolina)

6. Jeremiah (July 28, 1773 Orange County, North Carolina-July 29, 1825 Orange County, North Carolina) married Sarah Hadley (b. August 17, 1762 Chatham County, North Carolina-June 3, 1827 Orange County, North Carolina). Sarah Hadley was first married to Eli Newlin. She was the daughter of Joshua and Ruth Hadley. They lived near the Rocky River Friends Meeting in Chatham County, North Carolina.[10] (Four children)

7. Rachel (b. January 4, 1775 Orange County, North Carolina) married Joshua Buckingham on October 24, 1793 at Cane Creek Monthly Meeting.

Jeremiah Piggott: This second Jeremiah was born on October 26, 1730. He moved to the Cane Creek Monthly Meeting in Orange County North Carolina on December 21, 1752. There he was married to Rachel Mayner on May 22, 1765. He died in North Carolina on November 3, 1778.
