Johanna Otis, Died Young 2

This profile is labeled Joan [Ann] as being the third born/third daughter of John Otis appears to come from the 1924 genealogical study A Genealogical and Historical Memoir of the Otis Family in America by William A. Otis. However, this book has been found to be highly unreliable for information on the Otis family in England. The author thinks that this is Ann who was mentioned in the John Otis' will in 1657 and never married.

The NEHGS AmericanAncestors.org: Great Migration: Immigrants to New England, 1634-1635, Volume V, M-P Page(s): 324 states that the 3rd daughter Johann was bp. 1 Dec 1612 and buried there 21 Dec 1612. They include a daughter Anna born after the family moved from Glastonbury but before they immigrated, and they use 1625 for her birth and indicate that this later born daughter is the one mentioned in John Otis' will in 1657 and that no further record has been found referencing her after that.
