'John Eaton

John eldest child of John and Anne Eaton was born in 1619 probably England and died on his homestead on great Neck November 1 1682. He to have come to Salisbury Massachusetts with his father in the winter of 1639/40 succeeded to his father's homestead on great Neck and other real estate which occupied till his death. He was the possessor of much real estate and in conveyance sometimes called cooper and at other planter.He married about 1644 Marth Rowlandson daughter of Thomas Rowlandson Sr of Ipswich Massachusetts and sister of the Rev Joseph Rowlandson who graduated from Harvard College in 1652 only member of his class. She died July 1712 a woman of great age and of great of character. Their children were (all born in Salisbury, Essex, MA):

Biography

John was the son of John Eaton, born about 1621 in Hatton, Warwickshire, England. He married, about 1644, Martha Rowlandson, daughter of Thomas Rowlandson. He died 1 November 1682 at Salisbury, Essex County, Massachusetts.

No baptism was found with other siblings at Hatton. [1] Deposed age 40 in 1659. [2]

There was another John Eaton who came to Massachusetts in 1635, married Abigail and lived in Dedham. They are not the same men. PLEASE DO NOT MERGE THEM
