John Jackson, a cooper by trade, was born in Devonshire, England December 26, 1608. He was the son of Richard Jackson & his wife Elizabeth.

John was married March 30, 1633 to Joan Lurfete in St. Savior, Dartmouth, Devonshire, England.

He died December 6, 1666 in Portsmouth, Rockingham County, New Hampshire.

Children by 2nd wife Joan Larfayte: Richard, Thomas, John, Samson, Thomasyn
