John Nordstrom Rites at Sprague
Funeral services for John Nordstrom, Sprague, Manitoba, Canada, who died Wednesday, October 16 in the Roseau Area Hospital after being ill six weeks, were held Saturday, October 19 at Sprague Baptist church with Rev. William Russell officiating. Interment was in the Sprague cemetery.
John Nordstrom was born July 4, 1903 in Roseau to Mr. and Mrs. Lars Nordstrom. He moved to Sprague in 1906 and had farmed there since.
He married Jennie Lind in Sprague in 1930 and she survives him as do the following children: Lloyd, The Pas, Manitoba; Arnold, Sprague; Lillian (Mrs. John Hebel), Sprague; Lawrence, Atikokan, Ontario; Clarence, Sprague; Mary (Mrs. Steve Czechneister), Atikokan; Elaine, Sprague. Brothers and sisters surviving are Sam, Redditt, Ontario; Louis, Emanuel, Julia Limpwright, Florence (Mrs. Rueben Olson), Sprague; Lillian (Mrs. Robert Norman), Faribault; Sophia (Mrs. Frank Anderson), Owatonna. Fifteen grandchildren also survive. His parents, two sisters and three brothers preceded him in death.
He was a member of the Sprague Baptist church and a past member of the school board there.
Pallbearers at the funeral were Ross Gray, Robert Wesner, Joe Erickson, Harry Jernberg, Albert Hanson and Frank Bergman. Funeral arrangements were by Helgeson Funeral Home, Roseau.
