1. Herbert S. Norris, Norris Family Aquilla and Priscilla Norris Descendants of Thomas Norris and Ann Hynson (25 Oct 1997, update 27 Feb. 1999), pg. iv; MD-1, E-Mail: herbsn@tscnet. He is distributing himself is what I am assuming from a letter dated 27 Feb. 1999 from computer floppy disks.

Transcript), pg. 47-8, Library of Congress, Photoduplication Service, 101 Independence Avenue SE, Washington, District of Columbia, 20540-4570, CS71.N858; Microfilm 88/5447 MicRR 99ft. "The Norris Family" is an amazing work in Genealogy, 1500 pages in four volumes. Only three copies were produced, and one is located in the Rare Books Section of the Library of Congress. Another is to be in the Kansas DAR Library at dodge city, Ks. "Moved to Baltimore co., Md with his parents before 1696. In 1716 he purchased from Thomas Preston 1-- acres of land called "Expectation" (Deeds Lib. TR A fol. 47). In 1723 he purchased from Alexander McComas, carpenter, & Elizabeth his wife, 100 acres of land called "Macedon, for 300 pounds of tobacco, situate in Baltimore co. at the head of Bush River (Deeds Lib. JS-G fol. 140/ Md. Deed Records Lib IS Bk G og, 168). On 3 Mar. 1730 he purchased from Archibald Rollo & wife land called "Rebecca's Lot" [for 400 pounds of Tobacco, per Myers] (Deeds Lib. JS-G 205, 307). There are two enteries on this land & dispositions show at least 200 acres. He inherited from his father 230 acres of land called "Envell Chase". There is nothing to show the date of this inheritance or the method by which it was accomplished & it is presumed it was by "heir at law" on his father's death. On 17 Nov. 1745 he deeded to Thomas Norris 100 acres of land "Macedon" (Deeds Lib TB-E Fol. 234). On 4 June 1746 he deeded to William Bennett 230 acres of land called "Envell Chase", except one half acre where the rooling house now stands, same not to be sold but to be preserved for the use of John Norris (Deeds Lib. TB-e fol. 73). In 1748 he deeded to James Norris 150 acres of land "Norris Addition" & a part of "Expectation (Deeds Lib. TR-C fol. 36). On 1 Sept. he deeded to Stephen Onion of sd county, Iron-master, part of "Rebecca's Lot" on Baltimore co. on north side of Little Falls of Gunpowder River. Ann waives her dower rights to his land (Deeds Lib. TB-e fol. 539). On 8 Mar. 1748 he deeded to Stephen Onion a tract called "Expectation" on Winter's Run, Baltimore co., & in same deed sold all iron ore & timber that may be found on the tract called "Norris Venture or Norris Choice". No wife appears in this deed (Deeds lib. TR-c fol. 197). He dated his will 26 Mar. 1760 & it was probated in Baltimore co. 18 May 1761. He leaves all his estate to wife, Ann, & at her death same is to be equally divided among my seven children, named. Son, James, was devised land "Expectation" & "Rebecca's Lot", etc."
