John William Adams

One family source gives a birthdate of 2 February 1875 for William John ADAMS, placing him as the sixth child of James and Annie ADAMS (birthdate not yet verified by other sources).

The birthdate 12 March 1875 is from his WW1 Service Record [original viewed online via Ancestry] which also names his parents (both dead) and their place of birth, Ireland. He is registered as single.

We know he was a draughtsman before he enlisted as a Private (No.56212) in the NZ Expeditionary Force heading for Glasgow, Scotland. He died on 27 July 1937 (see image of headstone which gives the same regimental number).
