Jonathan Wesley Akers

Jonathan Wesley Akers was born on 4 May 1814 at Kentucky. He was the son of Solomon Akers , Jr and Matilda Mead. Jonathan married Sally Howell, daughter of Thomas Howell and Elizabeth Meade, on 7 June 1837 at Floyd County, Kentucky. He died on October 27, 1874, in Floyd County, Kentucky. He was buried at Rainey-Hunt Cemetery in Floyd County, on Toler Creek, a branch of the Sandy River. That cemetery is now known as Ballard-Hunt.

Jonathan Wesley Akers appeared on the census of 1850 at Floyd County, Kentucky, listed as Jonathan age 35 head of house. He appeared on the census of 1860 at Floyd County, Kentucky, listed as Jonathan age 46 head of house. He appeared on the census of 1870 at Floyd County, Kentucky, listed as Jonathan age 56 head of house.
