About Josephine (Smith) Moore

Josephine Hunsaker Moore was born in Barry, Adams County, Illinois, Aug. 11, 1854, and died Aug. 20, 1931. Age at death, 77 years and 9 days.

She was married to William Hunsaker of Barry, Illinois, and to this union were born five children: Atlas Hunsaker, Henry Hunsaker, both of Mansfield, Mo.; Orval Hunsaker of Bryant, Mo., Elmer Hunsaker, Ava, Mo., and Arthur Hunsaker, Kansas City, MO.

Her husband preceded her in death in 1888. She was later married to Preston Moore, and to this union two children were born: Oscar D. Moore and Clare Bailey, both of Mansfield, Mo. Mr. Moore also preceded her in death six years ago.

She has two living brothers, William Smith and Edward Smith of La Loup, Kansas, and one sister, Clare Belle Winner of Kansas City, Kans.

She was converted at an early age, and after coming to Missouri, placed her membership with the Mt. Pleasant Free Will Baptist Church of which she is still a member.

Besides these relatives, she leaves a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

The funeral sermon was preached Saturday morning at 10:00 o'clock at the Mt. Pleasant Church, eleven miles northeast of Ava, by Rev. J. S. Wallace of Ava, MO.

The Steffe Undertaking Company of Mansfield, Mo., had charge of the services.
