Josiah 4 BIGELOW, ninth child and sixth son of Thomas 3 (Samuel 2 , John 1 ) and Mary (LIVERMORE) BIGELOW, was born Waltham, Middlesex co, MA, 30 July 1730. He married there on 27 July 1749 Mary HARRINGTON, daughter of Jonas and Abigail (STEARNS) HARRINGTON. She was born in Waltham 08 March 1730. Like his brothers Jacob and Abraham, Josiah was prominent in town affairs, and a military man as well. he served in an artillery company as a Lieutenant during the Revolution. He died in Waltham 15 July 1810.

N.B. concerning son Uriah there is some confusion, as the son who lived in Worcester, NY is usually credited with being the one born 1765. It is hoped this obvious error can be corrected according to the town records which are quoted exactly above.
