About Josie Hannah Black

Dau of Richard Gideon Rochester and Tulula "Lula" Eubanks

Married William Walker Black on 20 Nov 1910 in Sedalia, SC (at the J. E. Minter Home)

Mother of thirteen (two daughters died while very young, Sis and Sarah Nell, everyone else made it to adulthood). Note: Josie's children mentioned that Josie's dad had been married to a Ms. Steen (Stien/Stein?) from Lockhart, South Carolina, and that after four or five children, she died. Richard later married Lula, who was from Buffalo, South Carolina. Lula was Josie's birthmom. The only other thing they could remember was that Josie's grandparents were Lucy (Richard's mother) and Jane (Lula's mother).
