About Sis Black
The infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walker Black, died at the parent's home near Sedalia, Tuesday, July 21, 1914*, and was buried the next day at Duck Pond Church.
NOTE: Duck Pond Church is now simply called Fairforest Baptist Church of Union, SC.
Per family: local references to it, back through history, include: Duck Pond, Duck Pond Church, Duck Pond Baptist Church, Upper Fairforest Baptist Church, and Fairforest Baptist Church.
There was one other, very ancient, reference that the cemetery was POSSIBLY also called Meadowood (but, be aware, I haven't confirmed that this reference does indeed mean this same church).
- Finally, please note: the article, in reference, was very smudged and the year is unsure. Thank you Sylvia for your help with my Papa's sister.
