King Jotham. This 25-year-old first became Regent, “governing the People of the land” during the last portion of His father’s reign, He reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. Jotham became mighty. JOTHAM’S regency during his father’s reign was about 750- 742BC, and his monarchy following the death of his father was about 742-735 BC, according to historians. He died when he was only in his early 40’s and was buried in Jerusalem. (2Chr 26:20-23), (2Chr 27:1-9).
