About Laura Ann Wilder
Laura Ann Wilder, eldest child of James Mason Wilder and Angelina Albina Day, was born in Franklin Co., New York on June 15, 1844. She married with HARRISON LAMANZO "Lamanzo" HOWARD. He was born May 26, 1835. She died 1899 and is buried at Old Crowley Cemetery, Crowley, Acadia Parish, Louisiana; he died Dec. 3, 1897 and is buried at Spring Valley Cemetery, Spring Valley, Fillmore Co., Minnesota.
Although she was the elder sister of Almanzo Wilder (husband of Laura Ingalls Wilder) she was NOT mentioned in the "Little House" books...most likely so as not to confuse the readers with another Laura, and a Harrison LAMANZO.
Children were: step-child Kearny Howard (b.circa 1869); children: Angelina Esther (1876-1964; m. Fred Merritt; 3 children; Ralph, Ethel, and Howard), Harrison J. Howard (1878-1918), Josephine Howard (1880-1918; m. William Walker), and Ralph Waldo (1881-1934; m. Estelle Charbonett).
