Leonard Joseph Guindon

Leonard Joseph Guindon, 80, passed away Friday morning, at the Christian Park Health Care Center.

Leonard was the son of Onesime and Yvonne (Burnette) Guindon. He was raised in Cornell where he worked with his dad on the family farm and in the woods.

Leonard was united in marriage to the former Gladys Anderson on May 25, 1957, at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Flat Rock. They made their home in Cornell where they raised their four children.

Leonard had worked for McGillis and Gibbs and retired from Vanderbeck Fence Corporation.

Leonard enjoyed dancing, doing wood projects and working in his garden. He also enjoyed hanging with his family and friends.

Survivors include: children, Linda Guindon, Curtis Guindon and Debra Marunde; twin brother, Lionel (Elizabeth) Guindon; sisters, Bertha Blevins, twin sisters, Helen Menard, and Evelyn (Bill) Cass; several grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews; special friends, Ida Mecure and Tim, Carol, Les and Gina.

In addition to his parents and his wife, Gladys, Leonard was preceded in death by his daughter, Debra Jean; son-in-law, Dean Jischke; brothers-in-law, Bud and Ron; brother, Hector; sisters and their husbands, Prudence (Hank) Couillard, Jeanette (Marvin) Swift, Rita (Ed) Comet, Agnes (Earl) McComb and Marie (Ray) Hill.

O Lord, Hear my prayer. Listen to my cry for mercy; in your Faithfulness and Righteousness come to my relief.
