Lutitia G. Bryan (a) was born 1839 in Warren County, Missouri, daughter of John Wesley Bryan and Verlina (Callaway) Bryan. Her mother, Verlina, is the great-granddaughter of the famous frontiersman, Daniel Boone.

She married Thomas Jefferson Wooldridge in Oregon County, Missouri. They became the parents of 8 children including Mary Emma (1858), Virginia Lee (1862), Elizabeth W (about 1865), Thomas Wooten (about 1868), Catherine (1869), James (about 1872), Lena (about 1876) and William Frank (1877) Wooldridge. All the children were born in Lamar County, TX, near the Hopewell community. In November 1878, her husband preceded her in death. She was the property owner of over 350 acres in the Lamar County area along with some cattle and horses.

On April 25, 1887, Lutitia G. (Bryan) Wooldridge died in Lamar County with burial in Hopewell Cemetery, Lamar County, Texas. A footstone is next to the grave of her husband, Thomas, bearing her initials "LGW".
