Malcolm Fleming is the son of Malcolm Fleming of Cardarroch and his wife Elizabeth Fleming. His mother died in February 1633, probably at Cardarroch House, and his father gave up her testament dative and inventory on behalf of Patrick and his brothers John and Malcolm on 5 April 1634.
