At the time of the 1881 census she and her sister Sophia were still living with their parents at Harrow. By 1901 the two sisters were living with two servants at 11 Bardwell Road. Marion moved with her sister to 20 Bradmore Road, and died there in 1923: † Miss Marion Frances Steel died at 20 Bradmore Road at the age of 72 on 13 February 1923 and was buried at St Sepulchre’s Cemetery on 17 February (burial recorded in the parish register of St Giles’s and probably also Ss Philip & James’s Church). Her effects came to £1,325 4s. 2d., and her executor was her sister Miss Sophia Margaret Steel."
