MRS. J. W. TROWBRIDGE DIES WAS 78 AND HAD LONG LIVED IN CARTHAGE

Came to the County With Her Husband 45 Years Ago -Funeral Monday Afternoon

Mrs. Martha F. Trowbridge, 78 years old, resident of Carthage and community about 45 years, passed away at 11 o'clock last night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. E. Reno, 1017 South McGregor street.

Mrs. Trowbridge was born July 6, 1850 in Morgan County, Indiana. She was married on May 4, 1871 in Anderson, Indiana to J. W. Trowbridge, who passed away two years ago She and her husband left Indiana, moving to Texas on account of Mrs. Trowbridge's health. They later moved to Springdale, Arkansas and in 1884 moved to the Carthage vicinity, purchasing a farm in the Pleasant Valley neighborhood. They lived on the farm 25 years and then came to Carthage to make their home. Mrs. Trowbridge was a member of the First Christian Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Reno at whose home she passed away and a son, Elmer Trowbridge of 1248 South Garrison Avenue;

four grandchildren; Loren Reno of Osawatomie, Kansas Dorothy Dealhunta, Webb City Leonard Trowbridge of Springfield, MO Frances Trowbridge of Carthage and two great-grandchildren

Funeral services were held at the First Christian church the Rev. C. A. Earsom officiated
