About Mary Anna Elisabeth Søbøtker
Mary Anna Elisabeth Søbøtker was born on St. Croix in about 1819 was baptized on 26 December 1819 in the Frederiksted Lutheran Mission Church, classified as a free mustice. Sponsors at the baptism were General Søbøtker, Judge Andresen, Mrs. Nabie and Mrs. Storm. In October 1841, she was living with her mother and sister, Augusta at 25 Company Street, Christiansted, free, not married and employed “by industry.” In October 1846, she was living with her mother and siblings at [now] 2 Company Street, Christiansted, unmarried, on “interest money.” On 1? January 1848, she was married to Adolphus Krog Reed who was born in about 1822 and was a member of the Lutheran Church. In 1848, he was a merchant on Puerto Rico.
