About Maryann Platfuss
During the period circa 1805 to 1819, he had a relationship with Mary Ann [Mariana, Marianna, Marie, Maryanne ] Platfus/Platfeus/Platferd/Platfoes/Platford, who was born on St. Croix in about 1787 and was baptized in 1787 in the Lutheran Church. On 11 July 1813, Mariana Platfus was freed by A. C. Storm and it was recorded in the Frederiksted City Court on the 15 July 1813, and a Freedom Certificate was granted on 29 September 1813.
In 1818, Mariana was listed as free and living at estate Hogensborg (West End Q. 17). In 1819, she is listed at Høgensborg as Maryann.
By November 1823, the ownership of 25 Company Street, Christiansted was transferred from General War Commissioner Adam Søbøtker to Mary Ann Platfuus. In about 1826-1827, she had a relationship with A. Beverhoudt. She died and was buried on 8 April 1850 in the Christiansted graveyard.
