About Mary Peirce
GEDCOM Note
Mary Reinert was conceived during divorce proceedings. Mary Reinert was the youngest of four (4) children. Mary Reinert was injured by a douberman pincher a month or so after her mothers death in July, 1926. The doctor had to sew her right ear back on. Mary Reinert carried the scars faintly throughout her life. Mary Reinert had just about 1/2 of the rabies shots in the stomach. However, the doctor stopped the shots when Mary Reinert became very ill and frieghtened. Mary Reinert hated deep water. Mary Reinert never learned to swim. And yet, Mary Reinert was on the cover the society fun page of the Aurora Beacon News -- on a boat on the Fox River . Once when Mary Reinert was a teen and ice skating, Mary fell through the ice under the Bridge by where the casino boats are now kept. Several people helped to pull her out. Mary's first love was Jack VD - he sent her a beautiful opal in a rosegold setting from Hawaii during the war. He didn't come back to her though, he was injured and was sent to his mother, who had moved out of Aurora, Illinois and had other ideas as to whom he should marry. Mary hated doctors with a passion. She cried when she went to the dentist. Mary was so scared the doctor didn't try to operate in the 50's or 60's or 70's when her galbladder was acting up. Mary died from galbladder cancer one month before she turned 64.
