About Mary Wilder
https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/134262539/mary-wilder
Mary Shonyo was the first wife of James Mason Wilder, a prominent citizen of the Malone area in Franklin County. (James Mason Wilder is best known as the father of Almanzo James Wilder, who became the husband of Laura Elizabeth (Ingalls) Wilder, author of the "Little House" series of children's books about pioneer life.)
Miss Shonyo was a housemaid from Constable prior to her marriage. The couple were married on 4 November 1840 by the Reverend Ashbel Parmelee, pastor of the First Congregational Church of Malone. She is thought to have died in the course of a miscarriage or childbirth. The couple had no children, or no surviving children.
Mary Shonyo may have been the daughter of an Antoine Shonyo and a Lettie (Elliot) Shonyo.
Her footstone reads "Mary" and is located near the graves of Horace Shonyo and Jennie S. Shonyo. Horace Shonyo was likely the son of an Antoine Shonyo, and was likely Mary Shonyo's brother.
