Witchcraft accused Sarah Hale and Sarah Good in 1692 in Salem
From http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Endicott-20
Mary Endicott
Wife of Isaac Williams Not the wife of Joseph Herrick
"Mary Endecot, daughter of Zerubbabel, was baptized 23: 6 m: 1668. CR1." (Aug. 23, 1668), in Salem, Massachusetts. #S-SVR Vol. 1.
"Mary Endicot and Isaac Williams were married Aug, 2, 1685 P.R.487" in Salem S#-SVR Vol. 3.
The confusion that marries her to Joseph Herrick comes from the following two items:
"15. February. Benjamin, Henry, & Martin ye sons of Joseph & Mary [Endicott] Hirreck junr were baptized ye 15. 12. 1679/80"#S-BvCh1
"December. 4. 1681. Triphosa daughter of Joseph & Mary [Dodge] Hirreck baptized ye 4. 10. 1681."#S-BvCh1
The maiden names in brackets were added by the transcriptionist and are not part of the original record. The children listed actually belong to Joseph Herrick Sr. (by his will), not Jr. And although Dodge seems to be the correct maiden name for Joseph Jr's wife, we know that Mary Endicott d/o Zerubabel (the only identifiable Mary Endicott) married Isaac Williams.
There are probate records for Mary Williams. The earliest is dated Dec 23, 1706. The death date Sept 14, 1706 given in the original version of this profile, is as yet unsubstantiated. And may have been meant for Mary Herrick, instead of Mary Williams.
