About Sarah Browne
notes
The following web page at http://mcclure.freeservers.com/endicott.htm states:
William C. Endicott, in Memoir of Samuel Endicott, states: "Zerubbabel, the son of the Governor, had thirteen children." Mabel McCloskey in her book, Some Descendants of John Endecott Governor of Massachusetts Bay Colony, lists ten children for the children [of Zerubbabel Endicott & Mary Smith]:
That web page then goes on to list 10 children including:
Sarah Endecott, born 1673, Salem, married William Browne;
However, when reviewing Mabel McCloskey's book, Some Descendants of John Endecott, it doesn't seem to actually list the 10 children. That book seems to only include the first quote. The book seems to focus on one of the 10 children only and does not seem to name the other 9. See sources for actual screen shot of book found at http://hdl.handle.net/2027/wu.89066051558?urlappend=%3Bseq=22
However, Out of the Mist of Times Past by Teddy H Sanford states that Sarah did marry William Browne. Teddy Sanford's source is The Endicott Famil yby Charles Moses Endicott. (see snippet in sources)
According to Genealogical and Personal Memoirs Relating to the Families of the State of Massachusetts, Volume III, page 1719 by William Richard Cutter in 1910, Captain Samuel Hart, I's wife Sarah is said to be a niece of Governor John Endicott which would men they are two different people.
