Biography

Mehitable was born to Richard Sarson and Jane Mayhew Sarson.[1]. Married Thomas Lothrop, son of Melatiah Lothrop and Sarah Farrar.

Judge Sewall, in a visit to Edgartown, noted in his diary "Mrs. Lothrop has 8 children", but the names of two are missing.

Wife to Mr. Thomas Lothrop (22 Aug 1668 - 1746); aged 60 Years; daughter of Richard & Jane (Paine) Mayhew Sarson. Inscription: Here lyes Buried ye Body of Mrs. Mehitabl Lothrop Wife to Mr Thomas Lothrop Who Died July 31st 1733 Aged 60 Years
