He is the bother of Matthew Mayhew, John Mayhew, Jerusha Mayhew, Jedidah (Mayhew) Smith and Mehitable (Sarson) Lothrop [half]. He married Sarah (Skiffe) Mayhew about 1673 in Martha's Vineyard, Dukes, Massachusetts Bay. He is the father of Sarah (Mayhew) Tilton, Bathsheba (Mayhew) Tilton, Zaccheus Mayhew and Zephaniah Mayhew.
