MENTON WAHLIN

Menton Wahlin was born in Lund Township April 15, 1899. On July 11 (?), 1815, he was confirmed in the Christine Lake church, of which he has been a member of ever since. On the 24th of November, 1921, he was united in marriage to Miss Alma Johnson of Lund Townhip. He has lived at the old home, the Ole Wahlin home, all of his life, and was at present taking care of his father's farm. He passed away June 21 at the age of 27 years, 2 months and 6 days, after being sick only about a week.

He is mourned by his wife, the little son Glen, four years old, his aged parents, Mr and Mrs Ole Wahlin, the following brothers and sisters --- Carl, Mrs Victor Meliander and Edwin of Goodrich, MN; Fritz of Fertile, MN; Mrs Gustave Berglund and Mrs Anton Berglund of this community and Hans of Buffalo Lake, MN. One brother and one sister preceded him in death.

Mr Wahlin was a kindly disposition, esteemed and loved by his friends.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, June 23, Pastor C Johnson officiating. The Christine Lake Choir sang.
