Miriam Gardner was born about 1635 probably in Salem, Essex, Massachusetts, daughter of Thomas Gardner and Margaret (thought by some to be Friar).

She married by 1657 to John Hill. Their children were;

Miriam, b. "24:1:1658" (old style calendar) m. "1: 3mo. 1679" to William Hascall Susan or Susanna, b. "31:5mo. 1660." Miriam died prior to August 26, 1664, the date her husband married Lydia Buffam.[1]
