Moses Nthloka (1949 - 2009)

Brief overview:

Moses (60), a smallholder in Bainsvlei Free State was attacked and hacked and left for dead on 23rd December 2009. He was rushed to hospital, but passed from his injuries. Carved on his back were the letters ANC.

Martha van Wyk, and her son Desay (14) were both murdered. The perpetrators slit their throats.

Four perpetrators arrested were Jacob Gatrey (25), Daniël Mahloko (27), Itemeleng Maruma (22) and Amos Nkaba (32). They were held in Grootvlei prison and scheduled to appear in Bloemfontein magistrate’s court on 28 January 2010.
