Philemon Hawkins' will is recorded in Book 2, Page 334, Spotsylvania County, May 6th, 1779. He mentions his children as follows:

• John, born August 29th. 1744; married first. Margaret Jam eson, 1767 ; second, Sarah Johnson, April 13th, 1771. Joseph, no record.
• Frances (or Frankie), married Richard Thomas.
• Philemon, married Catharine Craig, daughter of Lewis Craig.
• Lucy, married Jeremiah Craig. Lewis and Jeremiah were sons of Taliaferro Craig and Mary Hawkins.

Note: Incorrect DOB 28 Sep 1717 is from the following memorial for Col Philemon Hawkins, Jr., who was the son of Philemon Hawkins, Sr. (brother of Admiral, Sir John Hawkins, III and uncle of this Philimon FICTITIOUS ANCESTRY) aka Philemon Hawkins I (1690-1725) and Ann Eleanor Howard (1695-1742). He married Delia Martin (1721-1794) about 1743 in Brunswick County, Virginia.
