Asa Robinson, second s. of Ens. Thomas Robinson and his first wife Annah, b. October 17, 1726 at Windham, Conn. and bap. at the Windham 1st Chh. Feb. 27, 1726/7. He d. December 24, 1811 at Windham, Æ. 86. He m. Oct. 25, 1749 at Windham, Mary French, dau. of Abner French and Sarah Sluman of Windham. She was b. July 26, 1726 at Norwich, Conn. and d. Sept. 2, 1808 at Windham, Æ. 83. They had the following children of record at Windham:
i. Levi Robinson, b. Oct. 26, 1750; m. Levina Spafford at Windham on Dec. 1, 1780.
ii. Phebe Robinson, b. Oct. 2, 1752.
iii. Thomas Robinson, b. Jan. 2, 1755; d. Nov. 13, 1776 at Stamford, Conn. during the Rev. War.
iv. Asa Robinson, Jr., b. June 6, 1757; m. Olive Huntington at Windham on Sept. 17, 1777.
v. Zimran Robinson, b. Mar. 30, 1761; d. unmarried at Windham May 24, 1804.
vi. Mary Robinson, b. June 15, 1764; d. unmarried at Windham Oct. 2, 1799.
vii. Zilpha Robinson, b. Aug. 12, 1767.
viii. Charity Robinson, b. June 16, 1772; m. Elias Upton at Windham on Apr. 29, 1800.
Asa was a lineal descendant (great great grandson) of Reverend John Robinson, pastor of the 1620 Mayflower Pilgrims at Leiden, Netherlands, and his wife Bridget White.
