About Raymond John Foertsch
Raymond J. Foertsch, Milnor, ND died Saturday, June 24, 1989 at the Wahpeton Health Care Center.
The funeral service was Tuesday, June 27, 1989 at 10:30 am at St. Arnold's Catholic Church, Milnor with Rev. Dennis Skonseng officiating. Interment was in St. Arnold's Catholic Cemetery, Milnor.
Pallbearers were Gary Springer, Jack Rasmussen, Herbert Anderson, Steve Metzen, Pete Nelson, and Lloyd Slaby.
Raymond was born Sept. 15, 1932 at Barney, ND to John and Clara Foertsch. He grew up and attended school in the Wyndmere area. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. On April 29, 1963, he was united in marriage to LaVonne Mayou at Wahpeton. They farmed in the Wyndmere area until 1966 when they moved to Milnor where he worked for the Melroe Manufacturing Co. at Twinner until his retirement.
He was a member of St. Arnold's Catholic Church, Milnor, and the American Legion and the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife, LaVonne; three sons, Daniel, Denver, CO., Bradley, Fargo, and Tom, Forman; his mother, Clara Foertsch, Wyndmere; two brothers, Louis and Melvin Foertsch both Wyndmere; three sisters, Isabelle Howe, Huntington Beach, CA., Eleanor Durkee, and Mrs. Robert (MaryAnn) Blazek, both Wyndmere; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, one brother and one sister.
