About Rev (Elder) Ebenezer Mack, I
He was associated with his mother, Sarah in the execution of his father's will. In which he was directed as to her care. He inherited the home estate. He married Hannah Huntley. Hannah died 1796 after a long illness. She had been a widow since 1777 when Ebenezer died while bringing back a log for the fire.
Ebenezer was pastor of the Second Congregational chuch at Lyme. (First Baptist Church of East Lyme - BS). he was a soldier in the Revolutionary War. he was taken prisoner when Col. Ethan Allen surrendered near Montreal 9/25/1775, and confined at Halifax.
They were all well to do people but misfortune came to them about 1735 "throwing the children upon the cold charities of the world"
