Richard Mott Johnson, 89, died at 10:20 p.m. Saturday (Jan. 8, 2011) at Evenglow Lodge, Pontiac, Illinois.
He was born June 29, 1921 in Pontiac, Illinois, the son of Harry Myron Johnson Sr. and Elva Luella Mott Johnson. He married Armetta "Toby" Fern Thorndyke on April 25, 1944 in Pontiac. She survives.
He is also survived by a daughter, Connie Ann (John) Heins, Roscoe; three grandchildren, Erika Ann (Mark) Navin, Franklin, Wisconsin; Heather Mott (Jon) Moore, Denver and John Kyle Heins, Temple City, California and great-grandchildren, Harper Ann and Myles Andrew Navin.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Myron L., Robert W., and Harry M. Johnson Jr.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
