Emery, 65, Martinsville, died Tuesday, Oct 22, at Grandview Convalescent Center in Martinsville. Boron Dec. 13, 1930, in Bloomfield, he was the son of Emil and Vina (Dove) Emery. He was employed by SKillman Corporation for 10 years retiring in 1986 as construction manager. He previously was employed by Colvin Construction Company for 20 years as construction manager retiring in 1976. He was a member of Eastview Christain Church of Martinsville and Carpenters Local 60 of Indianapolis. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. Survivor include his wife, F. Loretta (Staisch) Emery; one daughter, Teresa L. Woods of Martinsville; his mother of Bloomfield; one sister, Irene Corbell of Kitty Hawk, N.C.; two brothers, Emil Emery Jr. of Indianapolis and Vernon "Bud" Emery of Catarac; and two grandchildre. He was preceded in death by his father and one sister. Services were 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at Forest Lawn Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Home with the Rev. Norman Ward officiating. Entombment followed in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association."
