Ruth, daughter of Ephraim and Mary (Sturtevant) Little, was born at Marshfield, MA on November 23, 1686.
She married John, son of Robert and Elizabeth (Lane) Avery, at Truro, MA on November 28, 1710. They resided at Truro where John, who graduated Harvard College, began preaching there in 1709 and was ordained in 1711, and where Ruth gave birth to thirteen children.
Ruth died on October 1, 1732.
Her husband remarried twice, first to Ruth Knowles and second to Mary (unknown) Rotch, widow.
