Per the 1901 Census of Canada, Ontario, Samson Tiktin was living with his sister Hannah Lewis, her husband Samuel, and two of her three children, Abraham and Ida. He was then 27, and is listed as a lodger, an American citizen, and a jewelry salesman, who was born in Poland. His friend Isidore Siegel (24), the future husband of Ida, is also listed as a lodger and jewelry salesman, both of them arriving in Canada in 1900. Isidore was born in the U.S. Samson went to mining camps in Northern Ontario. Per the 1911 Census of Canada, Sampson Ticktin (35), his wife Sarah (30), and their children Philip (7), Rohanna (5), George (3), and Maux (1), and lodger Max Klingdon (20) were living at 55 Sullivan, District Number: 124, Sub-District: 36 - Ward four, Sub-District Number: 36, in T oronto Centre. Samson had immigrated in 1889. He was born in Russian Poland and was born Jun 1877. Sarah was born Sept 1872. and had immigrated in 1900.
