1780 in Basking Ridge Sam married his Hannah Pierson, 1st cousin once
removed.

3 June 1789 Henry, John, Samuel-3 sons of John Spencer/Dorothy Riggs
left NJ and migrated with their families to PA. John had 8 children,
Henry had 7 and Samuel had 5 children- plus their wives. They arrived in
WilkesBarre 11 June 1789. Because of the unsettled condition of land
titles in Wyoming Valley John continued on stopping for a year or two in
Elmira and finally to Horseheads where John bought land and settled
there.
