Samuel Sanford

The Milford records 1:13 gives the date of Samuel's marriage to Hannah Bronson as 16 August 1674, but Coddington, in his Bronson genealogy, says the correct date is 16 April 1674, as given in Milford OL:100. He was propounded for freeman of Milford, New Haven County, CT, in 1669. He was admitted to the church on 5 November 1669 in First Church, Milford, New Haven County, CT. On 23 September 1681 he was mentioned as son Samuel in the will of Thomas Sanford of Milford, to receive all the Milford property, and to serve as sole executor of Thomas' will. Samuel's inventory records that he left widow Hannah and children: Hannah age 16, Samuel age 12, Sarah age 9, Mary age 6, and Thomas age 4.
