Sarah Bartlett, daughter of Joseph Bartlett Sr., and Hannah Pope, was born in 1676, in Plymouth, Plymouth Colony. She died on 24 July 1714, in Plymouth, Plymouth, Massachusetts Bay Colony, British Colonial America, at the age of 38, and was buried in Plymouth, Plymouth, Massachusetts, United States.
She married Elisha Holmes Sr. on 2 September 1695, in Plymouth, Massachusetts, United States. He was the son of Nathaniel Holmes and Mercy Faunce. Marriage intentions were published for Elisha Holmes and Suzanna Clark on 7 August 1719 in Plymouth,[3] and they married there on 4 November 1719. [4]

His will was dated 21 March 1745 and proved on 3 December 1753 in Plymouth. He mentions his wife Susanna, and his children:
His inventory was taken on 1 January 1754[6]
In 1754, his estate was divided among the heirs, Elisha Holmes, Joseph Holmes, Jabez Holmes, the children of Elnathan Holmes, decd., the heirs of John Holmes, decd., Marcy, wife of Edward Stephens, Elizabeth, wife of Elkanah Morton, Sarah, wife of John Blackmer, and Rebecca, wife of Andrew Croswell.[7]
