Biography

Sarah Standish was born about 1666 (died 1740 in her 74th year)[1] in Duxbury, Plymouth, the daughter of Alexander Standish and Sarah Alden.[2] Alexander's will of February 1701/2 named children including "my daughter Sarah Soul ye wife of Benjamin Soul."[3]

Sarah married Benjamin Soule about 1693 in Plymouth, Massachusetts and they had the following children, the first five in Plymouth:[2]

Zachariah Soule, born 21 March 1694[4]
Hannah Soule, born 18 March 1696/7[4]
Sarah Soule, born 9 May 1699[4]
Deborah Soule, born 23 April 1702[4]
Benjamin Soule, born 5 June 1704[4]
Ebenezer Soule, born 16 Feb 1710/11, Plympton[5]
Sarah died 4 March 1740 in Plympton, Massachusetts, in her 74th year and was buried at the Old Cemetery at Plympton,[1][2] now called Hillcrest Cemetery.[6]

Probate

On 22 May 1740, Zachariah Soule of Plympton was granted the administration of her estate.[7]

Her inventory was recorded on 4 August 1740 in Plymouth.[8]

In 1745, Zachariah Soule presented an account of her estate.[9]
