SIDNEY B. TULLAR
Sidney was the son of Chester Tullar and his wife, Eudotia Cook. He was married in 1835, Hammond, St. Lawrence Co., NY to Ruth Bromaghim the daughter of Peter Bromaghim and his wife, Elizabeth "Betsey" Carey.
Sidney and Ruth had children Jane E., Chesley B., Harriet E., and Addison G. born in St. Lawrence Co., NY. They left New York, and by 1850 they were living in Rock Co., WI, where Sidney was employed as a teamster. Their son, Hobart Allen Tullar was b. in 1854, and son, Adelbert Sidney Tullar was b. in 1857. By 1860, they were living on their farm in Walworth Co., WI.
On Nov. 1, 1861, Sidney enlisted in Company B, Wisconsin 16th Infantry Regiment to serve in the Civil War. On Nov. 12, 1861, was commissioned as First Lieutenant in the 16th Regiment Wisconsin Volunteers. He mustered out 28 July 1862.
Sidney and Ruth continued to live on their farm the rest of their lives.
