Stiner Blinsmon married Anna Tollum in Dec of 1887 at Oslo church in Moody co. the day before Christmas. The family moved to Lake Preston area where a lot of relatives also moved to in Kingsbury co and then in June of 1899 they moved to New Maine Township in Marshall co, MN by covered wagon. There were few roads, only very rough paths. Stiner built a log house to live in after they arrived there. Stiner and Anna had five children, Sophie, Oscar, Alma, Lilly born in S Dak and Agnes born in MN. Stiner farmed until his wife died in 1906, and his mother-in-law assisted with care for the children. Stiner worked for the Soo Line railroad on a section crew for a couple years and then he became section line foreman. He worked for the railroad for 29 years. He was the 1st justice of the peace in Newfolden, and also later became constable. He played on the baseball team. He married Emma Larson in Sept of 1926. Stiner died 6 Dec 1942 age 76 at his home after a short illness and was buried Dec 9 in the Opdahl cemetery in New Maine Township.
