About Thaddeus Waring
Thaddeus Waring
https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/68814007/thaddeus-waring
Thaddeus is likely buried with his second wife, Ruth Shaw, in Turner Burying Ground, but there is no known record for a gravestone.
Turner Burying Ground occurs within original Van Rensselaer Lot 468, first leased to Noah Hoyt in 1791. Thaddeus Waring's first wife was Tryphena Hoyt, potentially a daughter or sister of Noah Hoyt. By 1838, the land was leased by John and George Turner, both of the family for which the burying ground is named.
In 1797, Thaddeus Waring was leasing Van Rensselaer Lot 494, near where first wife Tryphena Hoyt and her mother, Catharine Hoyt are buried (Baptist Church Burying Ground - West Mountain). By 1837, Lot 494 is leased by Wilson Wood Shaw and his father, Elijah Shaw (likely nephew/father of Thaddeus' second wife, Ruth Shaw). Wilson Wood Shaw (1806-1869) married Emily Waring (1811-1844), granddaughter of Thaddeus Waring.

Date and place of birth have also been (erroneously?) reported to be 1744 at Darien, Fairfield County, Connecticut.
