Lieutenant Hon. Francis Walter Stafford McLaren was the son of Charles Benjamin Bright McLaren, 1st Baron Aberconway and Laura Elizabeth Pochin. He married Barbara Jekyll, daughter of Colonel Sir Herbert Jekyll, ( Member of Parliament for Spalding Division, 1910-1917.)on 20 July 1911. He died aged 31, killed in a flying accident.
