About Thomas Bushnell
32. vii. Thomas (Twin), b. 4 Jan. 1653, d. 11 July 1713.
The inv. of his est. taken by John Chalker, Nathaniel Chapman, and Abraham Chalker, 18 Nov. 1713, to which Samuel and Stephen Bushnell made oath that the inv. was true (R-34), included lands and property of a householder but nothing shows that he had a wife or family. His brother Samuel was app. adm. of his est. but was too aged and infirm to complete its settlement. His sister Lydia Seward was then app. but declined on account of her age, and Nathaniel Bushnell then presented an inv. On behalf of his father Samuel Bushnell, which was accepted by the Court. His legatees were his brothers and sisters and the family of Lt. William Bushnell and Rebecca (Chapman) Bushnell, but Joshua and Francis Bushnell, and Rebecca Hand, wife of John Hand, were deceased (R-34). It is possible the it was he who m. Susannah Waddams instead of his cousin Samuel Bushnell, but the fact that Samuel had £20 of her estate in his possession leads us to believe that the m. is correctly allocated.
