Thomas Runyan was born about 1675 in Piscataway. Middlesex County, New Jersey. He was the son of Vincent Runyon.

His wife was named Martha. They married about 1698 in Piscataway. Some researchers believe that she is the daughter of Hugh Dunn and Elizabeth Drake.

He also says he had son Joseph b ca 1704, who had sons Peter b 5 Nov 1740 & md Catherine Quick & lived in East Amwell Twp. & John b 4 Apr 1747 who never md. Marie Wright & Harman Clark both say this Peter who md Catherine Quick is the son of Peter (2208) & Providence Blackford. M C Shepherd also says Thomas did not have children Ann, John, Samuel, Benjamin, Elizabeth & Reuben. Carolyn has Reune b. 1675, could this be Thomas Reune?
